Hasya Safiyya Learns to Pray

This is Hasya Safiyya.
She is three years old.
She has big curious eyes…
…and a very cheeky smile!

Hasya Safiyya loves to copy Ibu.
When Ibu cooks, she wants to stir.
When Ibu reads, she brings her own book.
When Ibu prays… Hasya Safiyya watches.

One day, Ibu laid out a small sejadah (prayer mat).
It was pink, with stars and moons.
"Hasya, this is your own sejadah," said Ibu.
"Would you like to learn to pray?"

Hasya's eyes grew wide.
She nodded excitedly.
“Yes, Ibu!” she said.
“I want to pray like you!”

Ibu helped Hasya wash her hands, face, and tiny feet.
It was called wudhu.
Hasya giggled when the water tickled her nose.

They stood side by side.
Ibu whispered,
“This is how we start. Say: Allahu Akbar.”
Hasya raised her hands and repeated,
“Alla…hu…Akbar!”

Ibu bowed.
Hasya bowed too.
Ibu knelt down.
Hasya did the same.
Her little forehead touched the mat.
She whispered, “Subhana Rabbiyal A’la.”

Hasya wobbled.
Her bottom went too high!
Ibu chuckled softly.
“It’s okay, sayang. You're learning beautifully.”

They finished with salam,
“Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah.”
Hasya turned her head to the right,
Then to the left.
She smiled.

After the prayer, Ibu hugged her.
“Hasya, I’m so proud of you,” she said.
“Today, you did your first solah.”
Hasya beamed.
“I love praying with you, Ibu.”

Every day after that,
Hasya rolled out her pink sejadah.
She stood tall beside Ibu.
And together, they prayed.

One step at a time,
One word at a time,
Hasya Safiyya was learning solah.
And Allah smiled at her little heart.

🌸 “Hasya, little girl of Jannah, keep walking to Allah — He is always waiting with love.” 🌸
